What You Are Looking At

These are our own photographs from jobs across Chase, Kamloops, Salmon Arm and the Shuswap. They are phone photos taken on site rather than staged product shots, which is deliberate. A gallery of manufacturer images tells you nothing about who did the work.

Three kinds of job make up most of what is here. There are bathroom renovations and tile work, photographed at rough-in as well as on completion, because the framing, waterproofing and board stages are where a bathroom is actually decided. There is plumbing and drainage, including underground drain lines in shored trenches, which is the part of the trade nobody ever sees once the backfill goes in. And there is heating, hot water and gas work: tanks, heat pumps, control boards and commissioning checks with a manometer on the gas train.

Why Half of These Are Unfinished Rooms

Because that is where the job is decided. A finished bathroom photographs well whatever is behind the tile, and a shower built without a proper waterproofing membrane looks identical on handover to one built correctly. The difference shows up four years later as a soft floor or a stain on the ceiling below.

So the rough-in shots are the ones worth looking at: framing squared and blocked, drainage set with real fall and checked with a level, supply run and pressure tested, board and waterproofing continuous through every corner and change of plane. The same applies underground, where a drain line bedded properly in gravel inside a shored trench is invisible forever the moment the backfill goes in.

Across the Whole Service Area

These jobs are spread across Chase, Kamloops, Salmon Arm, Sorrento, Blind Bay, Scotch Creek, Sicamous and Pritchard. Older village and lakeside properties, newer subdivision homes, seasonal cabins and rentals turned around between bookings. The renovation projects tend to run from autumn through early spring, and the hot water and heating work runs all year.
